The days following my breast cancer diagnosis have been a mixed bag. We’ve run the gamut of human emotion: sadness, fear, and tenderness toward each other and our kids. We’ve cried, laughed, grieved, and played. Our faithful God has carried us – and we know He will continue to. God’s truth has come alive to us in new ways. The hope we have in Christ, that we will spend eternity with Him because Jesus died in our place, has taken on sweet meaning. We trust him on this journey.
Three precious women who have walked this breast cancer road have come alongside and encouraged my heart tremendously. As one said, “we may not know how this story ends, Leigh Anne, but we know how The Story ends.” We do. I am so grateful. A second shared a verse in Isaiah that has already become a promise to us in this season.
Isaiah 45:3 “And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness – secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.”
Thank you for praying for us and with us. We have been extremely humbled by watching the body of Christ mobilize to support us. Amazing. Thank you for journeying with us.
Love,
Leigh Anne & Gabe
